Manufacturing Activity Returns to Expansion Territory

According to the website of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, the China Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for September 2026, released by the Service Survey Center of the National Bureau of Statistics and the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, was 50.1%, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous month. After running below 50% for two consecutive months, it returned to expansion territory, indicating a recovery in manufacturing operations in September. Sub-indices and industry indices show that overall market demand expanded steadily, enterprise production accelerated, market prices rose in tandem, large enterprises grew steadily, and the business climate for small and medium-sized enterprises improved. Hainan: Building a Modern Fire and Rescue System Suited to the Free Trade Port

Hainan recently issued the Hainan Province 15th Five-Year Plan for Fire and Rescue Development. The plan proposes that Hainan will make every effort to build a modern fire and rescue system suited to the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. The report noted that Hainan has gone 20 consecutive years without a major or particularly serious fire accident, and, proceeding from planning all-hazard, full-chain, and full-cycle governance, will build a stronger fire safety barrier for the free trade port with higher standards. The promotion conference for the 23rd China International Transport and Logistics Expo was held on September 29 in the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone.
