England beat the Czech Republic 3-0 on Tuesday, with Harry Kane scoring twice. [2] With that match, Kane equalled Peter Shilton's England appearance record, which had stood for 36 years. [1]
At club level, a number of Premier League clubs want Manchester City to be hit with both retrospective punishments and future sanctions. [3] On the transfer front, Aston Villa could sign Endrick on loan, Bournemouth are fighting to keep hold of Alex Scott, and several top clubs are interested in Rayan Cherki. [4]
Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo says he is not retiring from international football, but believes he deserves to be punished after walking out on Portugal, and said head coach Jorge Jesus "broke his word to me". [5]
In the UEFA Nations League, Scotland led at Hampden Park but were eventually beaten 2-1 by Slovenia, who came from behind to win. [6]
