Recently, AI design has become a hot topic in technology and creative fields. In August 2022, TikTok added an "AI green screen" feature, bringing AI text-to-image capabilities into its product and putting them in the hands of billions of users worldwide [6]. At the same time, AI drawing software Disco Diffusion also became popular on social platforms, and Text-to-Image technology was rapidly applied [6]. Against this backdrop, Shuimu Intelligent, which started with design and uses AI for smart design, has attracted much attention [6].

In an interview with Founder Park, Miao Zang, founder and CEO of Shuimu Intelligent, introduced that the company's main business currently covers smart logo, smart packaging, and smart product design, as well as digital avatar design for the metaverse. After users input their requirements, the system can generate multiple options within 10 seconds for selection [6]. Taking logos as an example, after users input the brand name and slogan, they only need to provide some business description, and the system will generate multiple options within 10 seconds, from which users can choose on their own [6].

Speaking about the difficulties of smart design, Miao Zang pointed out that logo design is mainly difficult in natural language semantic processing, while packaging design is difficult in the breadth of design [6]. Miao Zang believes that when low-barrier and democratized design reaches its extreme, the form of design supply will definitely be smart design [6]. Miao Zang emphasized that the core of smart design is not AI, but using AI to solve design problems, ultimately returning to an understanding of enterprise services and industry [6].

Regarding the industry's development path, Miao Zang said that the development path of smart design goes from automation to intelligence, and then to human-like design [6]. With the help of AI and tools, China already has a solid industrial foundation and AI foundation, and human-machine collaboration gives Chinese design an opportunity to leapfrog like new energy [6].
