The Ministry of Finance, the People's Bank of China, and the National Financial Regulatory Administration yesterday issued a notice specifying that starting tomorrow, a housing loan interest subsidy policy for residents will be implemented nationwide, with the policy period tentatively set at one year. Eligible residential mortgages can receive interest subsidy support of 1 percentage point. This is the first time the central government has subsidized interest on commercial personal housing loans.
